This is like the bird flu all over again. I never once encountered or met anyone who encountered bird flu. And I dont think Swine flu will be any different.
Not because I don’t think its a big deal, I just don’t go to heavily populated areas.

Swine Flu

Now, America has just experienced its first loss of life to this flu. A young toddler from Mexico. He may not have been an American citizen, but it has still shaken people none the less. Over night the ammount of affected people went from about 51 to 91. Its spreading.

What is Swine Flu exactly?

The Centers for Desease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a FAQ at the provided link. I learned allot in like 2 minutes.

What blows me away, is that they dont make it out to be any more serious than seasonal flu! Now, is that because they are trying the “Please remain calm” routine, or is it really nothing to worry about?
Yes, there has been a death, but so far only in a child. Maybe his immune system was too weak at that point. Who knows.

Another thing is that this is not the first time we have been hit by Swine Flu. CDC mentions a pregnant Woman who died shortly after obtaining the virus. However the death was not attributed to SF.

One thing for sure is that is has spread, and will be mutating. Keep those that are inflicted in your prayers.

Here is a link to the confirmed cases within the United States:
