This wasn’t meant to be a serious post.  I just saw a very funny video by Julian Smith that I wanted to post with a few scripture verses.

Isaiah 47:10
“For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.”

Daniel 12:4
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

I have been struck by the incredible amount of knowledge available today.  You would think we’d be a very smart people because of it.  But for some reason we haven’t tapped even a fraction of the information available to us.  I believe that if you gave a determined person access to Google or Wikipedia they could obtain the equivalent to a college degree in a very short time.

80% of the world’s total knowledge has been brought forth in the last decade and 90% of all the scientists who have ever lived are alive today.

It’s all at our fingertips now.

Have you heard of Tim Hawkins yet?  I hope so.  He’s becoming a favorite of mine, right up there with Ken Davis and Taylor Mason. Every once in awhile I get online and check to see if he has new material out.  We own 3 of his DVDs, and he just came out with a 4th.

This is an excerpt from the newest one.  I hope you enjoy him as much as I do.

This is a hilarious video that I enjoyed very much.

The opening and ending are a little random, but everything else is worth watching!

And I forgot to mention earlier, I found this video reading from Living Journey.

Well, I was arguing with myself whether or not I should post this.

On one hand, I love Star Wars and get excited about anything that has something to do with it. On the other hand, it’s cheesy. Well, I’m going to post it anyway. Because I know it will bring at least a little laughter out of some of you.

There is a contest created by Star Wars fans every year called the LCC (Light-saber choreography contest,) in which fans may upload their homemade light saber duel and be judged. In the previous contest a young man created one with a gospel message, and was awarded 4th place.

He has created another one. It’s being called the Jedi Pastor.

“The Conflict Within,” their first video, can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLrcZdD1-G4

Are you not glad you watched that?

Oh, how I love this video. It’s good, after debating with Atheists and Theists alike for a couple weeks, to step back and remember “I’m not a genius.”

Sapien means wise. Homo means human. Some scientist decided that we are no longer simply wise humans, but we are WISE WISE humans!

Right.

Thanks for reading guys. Enjoy the video.

I was on Tangle and I spotted this video. When I started watching it I didn’t expect it to go far, I’ve seen alot of cat videos and I have rarely been impressed.

I was not only impressed with this, but I was blown away.

This seams like a good post for all of you loyal readers. There hasn’t been a light-hearted post in awhile.

Enjoy!
Prayers,

“People do not believe lies because they have to, but because
they want to.” – Malcolm Muggeridge

“I can say that I never knew what joy was like until I gave up
pursuing happiness, or cared to live until I chose to die. For
these two discoveries I am beholden to Jesus.”
- Malcolm Muggeridge

“Contrary to what might be expected, I look back on experience
that at the  time seemed especially desolating and painful with
particular satisfaction. Indeed, I can say with complete truthfulness
that everything I have learned in my seventy-five years in this world,
everything that has truly enhanced and enlightened my experience,
has been  through affliction and not through happiness, whether
pursued or attained. In other words, if it were ever possible to
eliminate affliction from our earthly existence by means of some
drug or other medical mumbo jumbo…the result would make it too
banal and trivial to be endurable. This, of course is what the cross
signifies. And it is  the Cross that has called me inexorably to
Christ.” – Malcolm Muggeridge

“You cannot tell the truth about people you don’t like, and
therefore the first duty you owe them is silence.”
- Chadwick’s mother

“It is not the sty that makes the pig, but the pig that makes the
sty.” – Chadwick

“Unless we have WITHIN us that which is ABOVE us, we will
eventually yield to that which is AMONG us.” – Unknown

“A man being rich under the gospel, when it is known that his
money can be used for the glory of God and the conversion of
souls, is demonstration absolute, that he loves the world
supremely. To say that he is rich, but does not set his heart upon
riches–that he continues to retain his wealth, and yet does not set
his heart upon it, is manifestly absurd and false. For, certainly,
nothing but a supreme attachment to it could cause him to hold on
to the possession of it, when every wind is loaded down with cries
and beseechings to send the bread of life to those that are ready
to perish.” – Charles Finney

“A preacher who preaches the truth uncompromisingly will be
asked ‘Does your preaching always have to be so pointy? Does it
always have to be so sharp?’ And of course the answer is no. He
can blunt his message if he’d like, and become just as dull as the
average preacher.” – Jesse Morrell

“It is not our business to make the message acceptable, but to
make it available. We are not to see that they like it, but that they
get it.” -Dr. Vance Havner

“A man who spoke little English gave this description of a sermon
he had heard: he said ‘Big wind. Much lightning. Loud thunder. No
rain!’” -Selected-

“A wooden key is not so beautiful as a golden one, but if it can
open the door when the golden one cannot, it is more useful.”
- Martin Luther

“That is the best cat which catches the most mice.” – Martin Luther

“No one can be a good preacher to the people who is not willing to
preach in a manner that seems childish and vulgar to some.”
- Martin Luther

“So preach that those who do not fall out with their sins may fall
out with thee.” – Martin Luther

Cosby

If Bill Cosby does keep his word, and he runs for President, I would have a hard time not voting for him. Here is an email that was sent around:

(1) ‘Press 1 for English’ is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country’s attitude. NO imports, no exports. We will use the ‘Wal-Mart ‘s policy, ‘If we ain’t got it, you don’t need it.’
