During one of Obama’s speeches, He left something very important out.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain inalienable rights:
life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Did you catch it? The declaration of independence says “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.”

Almost, Mr. President. Almost.

He goes on to say “That’s what makes us unique. That’s what makes us strong.”

No, Mr. President. What makes us strong is He who you refuse to even speak of.

    Didn’t trust him fully when he took office, but was willing to give him a chance. Still doesn’t seem too worthy of trust by my reckoning. I pray for him daily, and I certainly hope that He will work mightily in our president’s life.

      I am too. And I am also glad that you were able to look on this with a positive attitude, thanks for that.

      But I still don’t support his neglect towards Patriotism and Christianity, just to avoid offending Muslims.

        I dont believe in patriotism, I support my country when it deserves it, not just because I live here and like the idea of being free.

        If you want christianity to be respected, then you have to respect other religions (or support other people respecting it). I personally would not be offended if I was muslim, but I also cant see why christians are offended by me saying Oh My God.

        I think we can agree that you would be completely furious if the president used god’s name in vain. But you dont support him taking actions to not offend a different religion? what makes christians any better?

          I think I’m going to enjoy our discussion. You can spell and you know how to use punctuation. That’s rare these days.

          If you wikipedia patriotism you get the following:
          “Patriotism is a love and devotion to one’s country.”

          Love keeps no record of wrong doing. Even when this country is morally evil and disillusioned, I love it. My love for this country is not dependent upon how well it is doing, or else I would simply leave when things get tough.
          Pride, however, is a different matter. I am not proud of what we do.

          I don’t know what religion you believe in, or if you’re religious at all, but I want you to consider the following Bible verse:
          John 14:6
          “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

          Jesus Christ Himself, in one statement, belittled every other religion past, present, and future. He basically said “Not Mohamed, not Buddha, not Gandhi.”

          Do you have a Koran? I made a point to buy one after I started criticizing it, so I would know what I was talking about. Reading through it, it becomes obvious that Islam is an evil religion. It orders Muslims to strike of the hands and heads of anyone who claims Jesus to be the son of God.

          There is no good reason to be tolerant of an intolerant religion.

          I’m coming across as very militant, I know. I don’t mean to sound like an angry racist that has hatred for anything non-Christian or American. But I have no respect for Islam.

          You’re only trying to defend freedom. That’s fine. But you need to know who you’re defending.

            I know what patriotism is, and im not patriotic.

            it’s not just muslims, it’s every religion.
            I dont believe in religion, I have my own opinion about everything. I dont conform to a religion. Each of my beliefs are my own, not a religions.

            off topic- it would be nice if you would support the Opera Browser. Comments do not show up when using it. Most likely an error in your web code, Opera does not interpret errors like Firefox or IE
