This is like the bird flu all over again. I never once encountered or met anyone who encountered bird flu. And I dont think Swine flu will be any different.
Not because I don’t think its a big deal, I just don’t go to heavily populated areas.

Swine Flu

Now, America has just experienced its first loss of life to this flu. A young toddler from Mexico. He may not have been an American citizen, but it has still shaken people none the less. Over night the ammount of affected people went from about 51 to 91. Its spreading.

What is Swine Flu exactly?

The Centers for Desease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a FAQ at the provided link. I learned allot in like 2 minutes.

What blows me away, is that they dont make it out to be any more serious than seasonal flu! Now, is that because they are trying the “Please remain calm” routine, or is it really nothing to worry about?
Yes, there has been a death, but so far only in a child. Maybe his immune system was too weak at that point. Who knows.

Another thing is that this is not the first time we have been hit by Swine Flu. CDC mentions a pregnant Woman who died shortly after obtaining the virus. However the death was not attributed to SF.

One thing for sure is that is has spread, and will be mutating. Keep those that are inflicted in your prayers.

Here is a link to the confirmed cases within the United States:

Cosby

If Bill Cosby does keep his word, and he runs for President, I would have a hard time not voting for him. Here is an email that was sent around:

(1) ‘Press 1 for English’ is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country’s attitude. NO imports, no exports. We will use the ‘Wal-Mart ‘s policy, ‘If we ain’t got it, you don’t need it.’

Here’s a look at the first 10 generations in the Bible.  The names along with their meaning are believed to hold a prophesy.

Adam means “Man”
Seth means “Appointed”
Enosh means “Mortal”
Kenan means “Sorrow”

Mahalalel means “The blessed God”
Jared means “Shall come down”
Enoch means “Teaching”

Methuselah means “His death shall bring”
Lamech means “The despairing”
Noah means “Comfort”

Cool, eh?

“The present human population supports the Genesis record. According to known historical records, the world’s population doubles approximately every 100 years. This population doubling has happened even faster in the last few hundred years, taking place about every 60 years.

Starting with an origional population of eight people from the ark (Noah’s family), one can easily calculate that the population would have to double itself a little over 26 times to produce the present world population. If the most straightforward understanding of the Bible is correct, Noah lived about 4,500 years ago. This gives an average doubling interval of almost 166 years, which is really conservative when compared to the observed doubling rate of approximately 100 years.

Now let’s assume that evolution is correct and that some apelike creatures turned into into people approximately 1.000.000 years ago. You can calculate how many people there should be on Earth based on the historical rate of a population doubling (once every 166 years), starting with two former “ape-people” , and doubling their population every 166 years for 1,000,000 years (6,000 times). The result is more people on the earth than there are atoms in the entire universe. If people have been around for as long as evolutionists tell us, why aren’t there more people and where are all the bodies?”
(The above is quoted from ‘A closer look at the evidence’, by Richard and Tina Kleiss)

Now, I have no idea how they would calculate the ammount of atoms in the universe. But the idea is simple: There are not enough people to back it up.

Do you consider yourself to be a christian?

If yes, do you think of yourself as saved? If so, from what?
The only answer I have ever gotten to this question has been “I’m saved from hell.”
Jesus Christ, did not lay his life down so we wouldn’t go to hell. That is not why he came. If that were the case, all he did was spare a few lambs from being sacrificed.

To explain myself, I want to ask you a few more questions.

1. Are you saved from lust?
2. Are you saved from bitterness?
3. Are you saved from dishonesty?
4. Are you saved from anger?
5. Are you saved from pride?
6. Are you saved from rebellion against your parants?

If you are not saved from these, you are not saved from hell.
Christ came to FREE us from our sins. Not to get us to heaven despite them.

Make sense?

Be careful when you use the words “God told me so.”

With those four words we created Islam, Buddhism, Mormonism, and Jehovah Witness’.

I dont pray enough. I dont come close to praying as much as I should.

If my life were a garden, scripture would reveal the weeds and prayer would eliminate them. Having so little prayer in my life has allowed weeds to spring up.

I have been reading “The complete works of E.M. Bounds on Prayer.” It is not an easy book to read, but I highly suggest it. In only a few chapters I’ve been stirred and convicted.
